Wild Hoofbeats: America’s Vanishing Wild Horses

I was wondering if I would have an April book pick, and then I stumbled upon a website for Carol Walker’s book, Wild Hoofbeats. I thought the book sounded good, and part of the proceeds go to The Cloud Foundation, so I ordered the book.

Oh My Goodness!! Wow. I was just about brought to tears when I opened the package and leafed through the pages. Absolutely gorgeous work; the horses seemed to be right in my hands, in my office; I could almost hear the snorts and feel the power of their muscled legs prancing around.

This book is beautiful work from a woman who obviously loves horses. It deserves a space on any horse lover’s shelf or better yet, coffee table.

Thank you, Carol, for a look at the wild horse from the lens of somone who cares about them and brings them to those of us who just dream of seeing them in person.

The calender is equally beautiful and 2010 calendar is near ready for ordering.
